The aim of the movement for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions is to take money away from the agents, supporters and those who profit from Israeli apartheid. The campaign stems from a call from Palestinian civil society organisations in 2005. See the separate ‘BDS’ page on this site.
We ask you to boycott Coca-Cola Through its fully owned subsidiary marketing its products, the Central Beverage Distribution Company, Coca-Cola operates a regional distribution centre and cooling houses in the Atarot Settlement Industrial Zone in occupied East Jerusalem. ‘Settlements’ are Israeli towns built in the West Bank area of Palestine in defiance of international law. They are colonial towns designed to exclude Palestinians from their own land. See THIS REPORT specifically about Atarot. A firm that operates from there is profiting from the oppression of Palestinians.
Coca-Cola also own other familiar brands such as Fanta, Sprite and Costa Coffee. These are also boycott targets. If you want an alternative fizzy drink, see if you can get your shop to sell Salaam Cola (on which see HERE)
